Off Topic

Yep! As I expected, LL started up the new forums without a GD replacement, demonstrated the speed and cold-hearted steel of their new moderation approach, and then turnedon the ready-made, but hidden "Off Topic" subforum which they intended all along to provide to make it seem as if they were a caring listening consumer-focused organisation who felt sufficiently self-confident to reveal the strength of corporate persona to admit they were "wrong", change their mind and accede to the clamouring of the more vocal forum participants. Were *you* convinced?

    I just saw an amusing update from Lexie concerning the new Off Topic Subforum:

    "Update: I forgot to note that this forum, since it is "off topic", does not give points for posts.".

    This must be very dissapointing, if not frustrating, for some: no points, no up-ranking!
